Jenn Mejia, LCSWBrené Brown once said, “Integrity is the act of choosing courage over comfort.” Taking this first step—choosing to challenge yourself and step outside your comfort zone—is a true act of courage and integrity. I’m honored to be part of that journey with you.
I believe that we are all doing the best we can, and sometimes, we just need a little help. That’s why I approach therapy with curiosity, not judgment, creating a space where you can explore your experiences openly and honestly. My goal is to help you understand yourself better, gain new insights, and apply skills that lead to real change. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique needs, including ACT, CBT, EFT, IFS, CPT, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and the Gottman Method. I’m also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a specialized trauma-processing modality, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which helps with emotional regulation, relationship skills, and distress tolerance. Together, we will explore what matters most to you—your values, challenges, and goals—to customize a treatment approach that feels right for you. I work with individuals, couples, parents, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those from diverse cultural backgrounds. My experience includes helping people navigate anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship conflicts, trauma, and life transitions. I take a holistic approach, considering not only your personal psychology but also the impact of your environment, culture, and lived experiences. Therapy with me is warm, inclusive, and insight-driven—but I will also challenge you when needed. After all, if we always do what we’ve always done, we’ll always get what we’ve always gotten. Growth requires courage, and you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re feeling stuck or struggling, and you think we’d be a good fit (no hard feelings if not!), I’d love to help you take those first steps toward what matters most to you. |
