Do you offer in-person and telehealth therapy? Yes. We offer both in-person therapy at either of our two office locations (downtown St. Augustine and Palencia-near World Golf area) as well as secure telehealth sessions for clients throughout Florida. Many clients choose telehealth for convenience, flexibility, or comfort, while others prefer in-person sessions. We’re happy to help you decide which option feels like the best fit.
What can we expect in the first session? The first session is a chance for us to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your concerns, goals, and relevant history at a pace that feels comfortable. We’ll also review confidentiality, answer questions, and begin exploring how we can support you. There is no pressure to share everything right away. Therapy unfolds over time.
How long are therapy sessions? Individual, child, and couples sessions are typically 50 minutes. Some specialized services or intensives may vary and will be discussed in advance.
Who do you work with? We work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of life experiences and concerns.
Our practice is affirming and inclusive, and we are proud to support:
LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and families
Multicultural and diverse populations
Individuals navigating identity, relationships, life transitions, trauma, and stress
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive space where all clients feel seen, valued, and supported.
What types of therapy do you offer? We use a collaborative, individualized approach and draw from a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
The Gottman Method
Mindfulness-Based Therapies
Attachment-based and relational approaches
We tailor therapy to your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all model.
Do you specialize in trauma therapy? Yes. Trauma-informed care is a core part of our practice. We integrate ART, EMDR, TF-CBT, CPT, and other trauma-focused approaches to support healing, nervous system regulation, and lasting change.
Do you work with children and adolescents? Yes. We provide child and adolescent therapy using developmentally appropriate approaches, including play-based techniques, CBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness strategies, and emotion-regulation skills. We also collaborate with caregivers when appropriate to support the child’s growth both in and outside of sessions.
Do you offer couples and family therapy? Yes. We work with couples and families to improve communication, rebuild trust, resolve conflict, and strengthen emotional connection. Our approach is supportive, structured, and focused on helping each person feel heard and understood.
How do we know if therapy is right for us? If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or struggling to cope, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit. We offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and see if our practice feels like a good fit.
Do you accept insurance? Yes. Our practice accepts United Healthcare and Aetna, and our practice owner also accepts Cigna. Insurance acceptance may vary by therapist, and we’re happy to help you understand your options during a free consultation. Because coverage and benefits vary by plan, we encourage clients to confirm their mental health benefits directly with their insurance provider.
We also offer self-pay services for clients who prefer not to use insurance or whose plans are not accepted and are able to supply a superbill upon request for possible insurance reimbursement.
